Sony/ATV Promotes Tyler Childs and Lou Al-Chamaa to New Creative Roles

Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced the promotion of Tyler Childs and Lou Al-Chamaa to Vice President, Creative and Senior Director, Creative, respectively. Both executives will be based in the Los Angeles office, reporting directly to Rick Krim, Sony/ATV Co-President.

“Tyler and Lou are both integral parts of the LA A&R team and these promotions reflect the superb work they have been doing. We look forward to even greater things from them in the future,” stated Krim.

Childs started at Sony/ATV in 2012 as the Creative Director, and has signed to the company notable names such as James Blake, Walk The Moon, Tegan & Sara, and Vic Mensa. In addition to his duties at Sony/ATV, Childs is also the co-founder of management company Quality CTRL, whose roster includes Jack Antonoff, Banks & Steelz, RZA, Moses Sumney, and Sam Dew.

Al-Chamaa, who previously worked at Sony Music, Atlantic Records, and LAMM Music Management, began his career with Sony/ATV in 2014. Some of his recent accomplishments with the publisher include the success of Mike Posner’s single “I Took A Pill In Ibiza,” as well as his work with songwriter Brett McLaughlin, who co-wrote “Youth” by Troye Sivan.
