Performing Rights Organization SESAC has announced acclaimed rock band Kings of Leon as the latest high-profile signing to its roster.
The band’s new affiliation with SESAC was spearheaded by the efforts of Sam Kling, SESAC’s Senior Vice President of Creative Operations, and J.D. Connell, SESAC’s Vice President & Counsel, New Media Licensing.
“Few rock bands have garnered a global following as extensive as Kings of Leon,” says John Josephson, SESAC’s Chairman/CEO. “The band’s musical influence, as both songwriters and performers, has spread from the United States to the U.K. and Australia and well beyond. SESAC is proud to welcome Caleb Followill, Nathan Followill, Jared Followill and Matthew Followill to our affiliate family.”
Known most prominently for hits “Use Somebody” and “Sex on Fire,” the Nashville based familial band released their seventh studio album WALLS in October, led by the single “Waste A Moment.”
