Full-service talent agency ICM Partners announced the promotion of nine agents to Partner in its film, music, literary, and television departments. Music agents Dennis Ashley and Robert Gibbs, co-heads of the west coast urban division, are among the agents joining the partnership.
ICM Partners’ urban concerts department consists of high-profile artists including Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Missy Elliot, Mary J. Blige, as well as rising stars Fetty Wap, B.J. The Chicago Kid, Jhené Aiko, and Justine Skye.
“We founded ICM Partners on the principle of rewarding success and providing an opportunity for growth for our agents. The spirit of teamwork and collegiality that we envisioned is embodied by this outstanding group of agents,” read a joint statement from the agency’s partners.
In a move to give its agents and executives more control, ICM Partners underwent a new ownership structure in May of 2012 following a buyout from private equity. The organizational change resulted in the addition of eleven partners in October of 2013.
